The work Genussmarkt 2125 by abteilungfürkunst depicts a fictional future scenario. Relics of the market from the year 2025 are reproduced as blueprints in a standardized process. This results in postcards as souvenirs of long-gone places of longing. All that remains is the memory — the imprint — of the bratwurst that once existed. Where once the smell of fried meat filled the air with the aroma of fat, now there is only a meaningful artifact. The installation explores questions of resource scarcity, advancing automation, the reproducibility of cultural assets, and the changeability of consumer behavior.

Foundation of die abteilungfürkunst together with Anya Meusel

The abteilungfürkunst was founded in 2024 by artists Aniela Guse and Anya Meusel and raises questions about space and identity. In their installations, they create fictional scenarios that generate tension between contemporary art, rural culture, and social dynamics. The interplay of utopia and dystopia is reflected in transdisciplinary works. The abteilungfürkunst sees itself as a guerrilla department that has set itself the goal of filling gaps in the system with art.
